Senior Associate, Appellate Counsel and General Counsel, Si Aydiner, Esq. single handily changed the law for the entire plaintiff’s bar in the Second Department while advocating and protecting the firm’s interest. The plaintiff’s bar as a general matter could not represent a driver and a passenger as it raised issues of conflict which could violate the Judiciary Law. A true conflict can expose a firm to a grievance and expose their license to practice law. At Sacco & Fillas, LLP, as we followed the emerging and changing law on this sensitive topic in the other departments, developed a waiver allowing the clients to proceed with their matter as they wish; after being fully informed of the consequences of their decision while taking into consideration their best interests. The Appellate Division of the Second Department agreed that the conflict is waivable. Mr. Aydiner has filled every above title beyond expectation on more than one occasion for the firm. We thank you, Si!!
